Privacy

We collect the ID number and a live selfie only to run the check with Smile ID, Kenya's national ID registry partner. The ID number is never stored — only the last two digits, for reference. The selfie is captured and processed by Smile ID directly and is not stored by Hakiki. All personal data is deleted 30 days after a check, in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
